Beaches galore and good infrastructure for tourists
Entrance door to the Northern coast of São Paulo state, Caraguatatuba is the largest municipality in that region and offers a good infrastructure to support tourists, in addition to several types of stores and well developed services. About 50% of the houses are actually summer houses.
The town has wide avenues by the sea, promenades and bicycle paths by beautiful beaches. The most beautiful ones are to the north, with both placid waters, such as Tabatinga and Cocanha, and excellent surf spots, such as Brava and Martim de Sá.
Ecotourism enthusiasts should not miss the attractions of the Serra do Mar state park.
